Pierre Gauvreau
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Canada

Pierre Gauvreau is the general manager of TerSera Therapeutics, Canada. Prior to starting with TerSera, Pierre was the Canadian Sales Director with CSL Behring, and previously spent 16 years with AstraZeneca Canada in a number of leadership, management, marketing and sales roles. 

In his most recent role at CSL Behring, he was responsible for the management of the field sales team and was a member of the Canadian leadership team responsible for development, stewardship and execution of a portfolio strategy.

Previously, as Business Unit Director at AstraZeneca and a member of the senior leadership team, Pierre was responsible for leading the Eastern Canadian team to deliver on sales targets across primary care and institutional businesses.

Pierre holds a business degree from Memorial University and an M.B.A. from Western University Ivey Business School.


Edward J. Fiorentino
Executive Chairman

Ed Fiorentino serves as Executive Chairman of TerSera Therapeutics. Previously, he was TerSera’s chairman and chief executive officer from the company’s inception in 2016 through December 2023. Prior to TerSera, Ed was chairman and CEO of Crealta Pharmaceuticals, and CEO of Actient Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to Crealta and Actient, Ed was with Abbott for more than 20 years. His senior-level management experience at Abbott includes Corporate Vice President of pharmaceutical commercial operations; Senior Vice President and President of Abbott Diabetes Care; and Executive Vice President of TAP Pharmaceuticals, an Abbott joint venture with Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Ed began his career with Bristol-Myers.

Ed currently serves on the boards of TerSera Therapeutics, Senseonics, Clearbrook and the Aquinas Institute. He previously served on the boards of Crealta Pharmaceuticals, Actient Pharmaceuticals, TAP Pharmaceuticals, Graceway Pharmaceuticals, iBIO, California Healthcare Institute, National Pharmaceutical Council and Allendale Association.

Ed holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York and an M.B.A. from Syracuse University.


Edward Donovan
Chief Executive Officer

Edward Donovan is Chief Executive Officer of TerSera Therapeutics.

Edward has extensive experience leading critical business units across multiple biopharmaceutical organizations. Prior to assuming his current role, he previously served as Chief Operating Officer and President of TerSera. Edward also previously served as TerSera’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and held similar positions at Crealta Pharmaceuticals and Actient Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to Crealta and Actient, Edward was a partner in the Chicago office of the law firm Kirkland & Ellis LLP. At Kirkland, he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate law, and completed numerous pharmaceutical and other healthcare-related transactions. He started his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.

Edward currently serves as President of the Board of Code Platoon, a non-profit that transforms veterans and military spouses into professional software developers.

Edward holds a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.


Mark Tatro
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Mark Tatro is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TerSera Therapeutics.

Previously, Mark was Chief Financial Officer of specialty pharmaceutical companies Crealta Pharmaceuticals and Actient Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to Crealta and Actient, Mark was the General Manager of Abbott Diabetes Care in Toronto. He also worked for a number of years as division Vice President and Controller for Abbott Diabetes Care in Alameda, Calif.

Previous career highlights include Vice President of Finance for TheraSense, Inc.; Vice President of Finance for Gatan Inc., and Corporate Controller for Roper Industries, Inc.

Mark earned a B.S. in accounting from Florida State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude.


Mark Booth
Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer

Mark began his pharmaceutical career at Abbott, and over 17 years held multiple positions of increasing responsibility with his last role being Division Vice President, General Manager for the Anti-Infective Franchise.

Mark holds a B.S. from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A from the J.L Kellogg Graduate School of Management from Northwestern University.

Mark Booth is Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer of TerSera Therapeutics. Previously Mark was Chief Commercial Officer at Assertio Therapeutics and Orexigen Therapeutics.

Mark brings extensive commercial experience to TerSera having led commercial organizations in big pharma, biopharma and specialty pharmaceutical companies.  Prior to Assertio and Orexigen, Mark was President of Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America for approximately 7 years.  He also served as General Manager and Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Immunex Corporation. 


Jennifer Lagunas
Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary

Jennifer Lagunas is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of TerSera Therapeutics.

Jennifer has 20+ years of legal experience heading governance, securities, operations, corporate transformations, investor engagement, and various other legal functions.

Previously, Jennifer was Vice President, Corporate Legal, Governance, Operations and Assistant Corporate Secretary at AbbVie Inc. Prior to the spin-off of AbbVie Inc., she served at Abbott Laboratories as Division Counsel, Securities & Governance.

Prior to Abbott, Jennifer was Senior Counsel, Corporate and Securities and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Motorola Mobility and Motorola Inc. She also worked at the law firm of Winston & Strawn LLP.

Jennifer holds a B.A. from Washington University, graduating summa cum laude, and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.


Nancy Martin, MD, PharmD
Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer

Nancy Martin is Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer of TerSera Therapeutics.

Nancy brings extensive R&D experience across a multitude of therapeutic areas to TerSera having led development and medical organizations in large pharma, biotech and diversified medical portfolio companies. Nancy recently served as Vice President, Global Medical Head, Medical Specialties at Astellas.

Prior to Astellas, Nancy was Vice President of Preclinical and Clinical Development at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Nancy also served as Chief Medical Officer at Outpost Medicine, a Frazier Portfolio Company. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President, Global Clinical Development at Hospira, a Pfizer Company.

Nancy began her pharmaceutical career approximately 25 years ago at Hoffmann-La Roche in clinical pharmacology and held multiple positions of increasing responsibility over the years in development & medical affairs at Roche, Aventis and Astellas.

Nancy earned her Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois-College of Pharmacy and her MD from the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  She is licensed to practice pharmacy and medicine in multiple jurisdictions. 


Vicky Papoutsis
Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer

Vicky Papoutsis is Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer of TerSera Therapeutics. 

Previously, Vicky led business development efforts at specialty pharmaceutical companies Crealta Pharmaceuticals and Actient Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to Crealta and Actient, Vicky was the Senior Director of International Operations for Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where she was responsible for all local licensee management and territory expansion in the Asia Pacific region. She also served as Director of Global Licensing and Business Development.   

Prior to Takeda, Vicky worked for a number of years as Director of Licensing and Business Development at TAP Pharmaceuticals, a Takeda and Abbott joint venture.

Additional career highlights include various legal positions in general litigation, including insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, credit reporting and breach of contract.

Vicky earned a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan, a J.D. from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.


Bryan Reiners
Executive Vice President, Chief Insights Officer

Bryan Reiners is Executive Vice President, Chief Insights Officer. 

Previously, Bryan held a similar position at Crealta Pharmaceuticals and Actient Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to Crealta and Actient, Bryan was with Astellas Pharma, US Inc., as Director of Forecasting and Market Analytics, where he was responsible for all aspects of forecasting, business/market planning and analysis for all on-market products and products awaiting regulatory approval. 

Prior to Astellas, Bryan spent almost 17 years with Abbott in various finance, market research, and forecasting roles; including Director of Forecasting for Abbott Diabetes Care. Prior to Abbott, Bryan worked for KPMG’s audit practice in Minneapolis.

Bryan holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Wartburg College in Iowa and a Masters of Accountancy from St. Cloud State in Minnesota. Bryan is also a Certified Public Accountant.
